Silverstone Track Day
30th November 2004

With all the work I had to do on my 850 having taken it off the road, it didn't see any track action all summer during 2004! I decided that the car was ready just before christmas, and at late notice booked up with Melindi at Goldtrack to join them at Silverstone on the 30th Nov.

The car performed brilliantly - many many thanks to both Martin Sadler who did the suspension installation and setup, and Ian Ball at Power Engineering who worked tirelessly over several weeks to get the engine map and fueling spot on for the track setup.

I took the opportunity to get some driving instruction from one of the excellent instructors provided - he was very impressed with the car's handling! It was much more fun than the last time I had been around the Silverstone GP circuit!

The TOYO tyres were great too - Proxes are a definite improvement over the Falken rubber I was running last year. Increasing the width must have helped too.... It really went around corners, staying with some fairly quick stuff - a big result!

I can't wait to get the graphics on - it's going to look amazing too.... ;o)
