My T-5R
 

 

My T5R is a 1996 Tom Walkinshaw Racing Edition in Pearlescent Green and it is an Auto. I bought the car in 1999 as a fast road car - but it wasn't long before the track bug bit and the spanners came out. I decided in 2001 to make the car into a project touring car replica type affair - and subsequantly took it off the road.

I have spent my spare time and cash ever since working on the car as a project track day weapon, developing the engine, braking and handling, and adding a selected few BTCC graphics to finish the exterior look.

In the summer of 2005 the car was featured in Track & Race Car magazine, along with several other touring Volvos. You can see the article by clicking here. In September 2006 the car was featured again, this time for an article called "Buy before it dies" - which featured several cars which the magazine considers future classics.
